WHY YOU SHOULD COME TO NEWZEALAND

Hey Hi Hello My name is Maya as you can see I'm very excited cause summer coming up in Newzealand. I live in NewZealand and I won't lie it rains To much throughout winter but in summertime its beautiful. If your planning a holiday think no more and I'm going to tell you some reasons why you should come to Newzeland around summertime. Now we have the best beaches in summer and amazing lakes and awesome campsites. With our beaches, you can go swimming for how long you want cause it never gets cold or boring and you can swim out as far as you want because it's all fun. Our beaches are pretty lowkey in summer you can have beach fires to cook some marshmallows and sausages up. We also have really fun campsites one of my favorites is quinines bush they have good cabins a man-made water slide and massive flying foxes but we also have so much more that is around our nicest beaches. On the west coast there are quite a lot of lakes to choose from to swim in that are so fun and you should visit one day there is the Brunner bridge that has a swing that you can swing into the lake which is super fun. Now there is one lake its really  popular and everyone goes there in summertime there is a swing bridge that you can jump of which is so fun there's a track that leads to a fun swing into the water there is the main part which has a jumping platform and jet skis come and go thru boats and its so fun. now if you want to do some stuff that is really entertaining for kids in nelson there is outdoor trampoline parks bumper boast these massive blue slides that you go down in sacks and go-karts this makes it fun cause its all outdoor and there are amazing water slides speaking of water slides Hamner springs would be a recommendation with the biggest water park in Newzealand with the biggest water slide well that's all I can tell you, for now, to find out much more you will have to come and visit.

Hi, My name Maya and I love Halloween it is my most favourite time of year and Every year I go to a shanty town then go trick or treating. There is a lot of debate with going trick or treating because it's going to a stranger's house and asking for food but I put it in a different way it's just asking trick or treat in a costume and people get scared and excited and give you candy. But a different way to celebrate is going to a party thats why a shanty town throws the best parties and has lots of entertainment and fun activities to do with your friends in costumes. this party is at an old village themed as olden days and has a train and mazes and its fun when you go there on Halloween and they throw a party all right.

in-class today we made a graph of how many blog post we have made in 2019 2018 2017 And we used some mathematics for this it was so fun and I can keep track of how much I post a year

Technology

the year 7 and 8 at my school go to high school and we get split up into different classes and do different projects each term this term I did technology I made a robot mini-golf track it looks really cool. have a look at my website here's my website

These past 2 weeks we have been doing a maths gride with the task we have to do three tasks one of my tasks was to make a word problem card we have some original one in class they look like this

my one is the one at the top I really enjoyed making these because it was fun making my own challenge for people.

this is another activity we have done for Toki pounamu this one was the hardest one because we hade to make heaps of shades and curves in this project it was hard to try to draw the branches so I gave up on that but I have tried making this average so I hope u like it

These last thew weeks we have been making some gride art for Toki pounamu it was really challenging to make and draw the image without tracing. on the drive to draw out a model we had to click line on our and use curve and polyline. we also have done a tree one of these but I never finished it. this activity was super fun and you should have a go one time.

in class lately, we have been working on some of our own music. hints and tips for a litter less lunchbox

Lately, at Paroa school, we have been focusing on composting and our rubbish waste. We wanted to convince people to have less waste in their lunchbox and in general. So I gathered up some information and gave some little tips that can change lots more. I really enjoyed finding out more information the challenge of this is not everyone will be convinced straight away it might take them a while but we will keep trying to help.

recently our class went to Wellington for a school camp. we did lots of things but we also went to a place called capital E. it was really fun there we got to make music it was a great experience because it was my first time ever trying to create a song. my music isn't great and I think to be BTB next time I could at different sounds that blend together well. my Music was a comedy piece.

WALT: we share Paroa schools current composting situation.

We did this video to learn more our selves about the composting situation and to catch up on our compost area.

I found trying to get the right clip challenging because we all had different ideas and we couldn't decide what script.

I enjoyed making the funny video and I was lucky It was a sunny day.

To be BTB (better than before) we could add more of the compost bin and more information about simple things happening.

as I walk down the sharp stone driveway I am fizzy with energy I jump on Gracie back and we run down the drive some more and then we come across two instructors handing us our harnesses. As we start practicing on this little zip line I get too excited and get stuck " oh no.  " 30 minutes later " We are on stage 3a now because we skipped stage 2 because it was a big line up I look down on the stage we are doing and I scream of fear and I get my harness all seat up and clicked on. I put my hands on the zip line and push off I scream the whole way across and " smash " I go into the green mat. And Gracie decides to pull the rope back so I'm just hanging in the air for a few seconds

. as I come down the ladder I have the shivers. as I hop off the ladder I see Gracie zip line across I'm in tears of laughter and so is she ( she was screaming a bit ). We head over to level 3b first off we had to climb through a tangle of rope and then a zigzag wood corse and much much more. Then we come across our last course for the day big steep long zip line I grab my harness hook it up to put my zip line handle on and off I go I'm going so fast and speedy I just hit the green mat and I'm laughing my lungs out  well we have to go now bye.

We found out about our family by going home and asking grandparents and caregivers.

I choice my symbols because I do sport so I put them in and my family countries so I know where I am from.

I enjoyed finding out more about me and doing the cool different artwork

Something challenging was when some of my family members didn't know all the countries I'm from and I found doing the outline for the waka.

Next time to be BTB ( better than before) I could do more challenging drawings.

This week we had a word of the week and we had to make a drawing about the word assertive. We had to do this so we could learn new words that we can use in our writing.  The challenge about this was trying to choose backgrounds and colors that blend together. 
Next time I could be BTB (Better Than Before) by making a clear drawing to read.
